Amanda is a native of Northeast Colorado.  Prior to joining the team at Colorado Plains Medical Center, she served as an emergency department nurse for more than four years in a busy level III trauma center and emergency department.  Her responsibilities included triage, patient prioritization, assisting with emergent procedures, medication administration, splinting, and arranging transfers to higher levels of care in critical situations.  Amanda also worked for nearly four years in a managed care facility caring for 35 patients in the long-term care setting. 
Amanda's career in health care started with her licensed practical nursing certificate she earned at Northeastern Junior College in Stering, Colorado, in 2012.  The following year she acquired her Associate of Science in Nursing  degree from the same college.  Amanda also obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in nursing from Grand Canyon University as well as her Masters of Science degree in Nursing from Colorado State University in Pueblo, Colorado.

As a family nurse practitioner, Amanda provides compassionate care for newborns to adults, including:

  • Infection treatment
  • Allergy and asthma care
  • Well baby and well child checks
  • Other acute and chronic ailments

Amanda has duel certification and training in adult gerontology acute care and especially enjoys treating older adults.
